Overview

In this course, we’ll present innovative strategies that training programs around the country are using to engage health care workers with their organization’s quality improvement and patient safety efforts. These change ideas will help Designated Institutional Officials and other GME leaders collaborate with quality leaders to build programs that will be attractive to health care workers and offer tangible opportunities for experiential learning.

Course Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  1. Describe three different models for experiential learning, and list several pros and cons of each.
  2. State at least two examples of institutional quality improvement and patient safety committees of formal activities that would provide good experiential learning for health care workers.
