Overview
In this course, we’ll discuss several reasons why organizations should strive to incorporate clinical staff in quality and safety work early in their training. You will hear from faculty and health care workers about why this effort is so important — and how it can enhance the overall quality and safety of health care delivery.

After completing this course, you will be able to:
- List at least two reasons why it is important to engage health care workers in their institution’s quality and safety work.
- Describe the benefits of completing quality and safety training when starting to work in healthcare.
- Identify at least three barriers to engaging health care workers in quality and safety work.
