Reduce Harm, Enhance Quality, and Improve Efficiency with Human Factors

Human factors is a multi-disciplinary science that focuses on understanding the interaction among humans and other elements of a system within a given environment. Applying human factors to health care reduces medical errors and allows clinicians to deliver better patient care. Human factors boost work processes, enhance patient safety, reduce inefficiencies, and improve quality. As health care delivery becomes increasingly more complex, human factors engineering has proven to be a powerful approach for proactively reducing harm.

Session Agenda:

Over the course of six weeks, participants will join six live online sessions and six interactive coaching calls that blend expert insights with practical application.

As part of the course, participants will complete a project that allows them to apply human factors tools and methods to a real workflow or device. This hands-on component ensures that the concepts learned in class are not only understood but also experienced in practice, giving participants something tangible to bring back to their work.
