There are many convenient ways to obtain continuing education credits toward your CPPS Recertification. The Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety has pre-approved specific programs for CPPS CE credit.

The Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) has pre-approved specific programs for continuing education (CE) credits toward CPPS Recertification. CBPPS believes that continuous knowledge and competency enhancement advances not only your career, but also your organization and patient safety as a whole.

Please retain a copy of your CE activity completion certificate for your CPPS Recertification records.

This self-paced, online professional certificate provides learners with a solid foundation in medication safety. The curriculum includes the principles of safe medication use processes, including the safe use of technology; culture of safety; risk identification and reduction; and medication-related incident investigation. This certificate includes strategies for identifying opportunities for, and implementing, medication safety improvements, as well as other fundamentals for maintaining a medication safety program.

This product is an ASHP Learning Center activity developed in partnership with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP).
