Quality and Safety in Health Care. 2004;13(4):251-254.Increased use of medical emergency team may be associated with fewer cardiopulmonary arrests; a retrospective analysis over 6.8 years showed a 17 percent decrease in the incidence of cardiopulmonary arrests from 6.5 to 5.4 per 1000 admissions.
