Keynote Presentation at IHI 13th Annual International Summit on Improving Patient Care in the Office Practice & the Community, March 20, 2012.
In her keynote presentation at the International Summit, Ellen Goodman — a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and author, and founder of The Conversation Project — shares her thoughts on The Conversation Project, which aims to create a cultural movement to normalize “the conversation” and to have every person’s end-of-life preferences expressed and respected. Using a public campaign and shared storytelling, The Conversation Project seeks to narrow the gap between what people say they want as they face death and what actually happens.
