If you are a provider interested in offering CPPS continuing education (CE) for your educational activity, we invite you to apply for approval by filling out the CPPS CE Approval Application below. Applications should be submitted at least six weeks prior to the activity date.

Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management and Patient Safety 2022 Conference 

August 25 - 26, 2022 | St. Petersburg, FL

The conference will include more educational sessions and important updates on topics such as the recently implemented Florida Patient Safety Metrics and the status of the new mandatory Culture of Patient Safety Surveys. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion indicating compliance with Florida Required Competency Standards.

Safer Together: A National Action Plan to Advance Patient Safety

Free CPPS CE opportunity: read the National Action Plan and complete the Self-Assessment in you organization to earn up to 4 CPPS CE hours. After completing this activity learners will be able to:

  • Assess capabilities and resources to advance patient and workforce safety within your organization

Medication Safety Certificate Program

This self-paced, online professional certificate provides learners with a solid foundation in medication safety. The curriculum includes the principles of safe medication use processes, including the safe use of technology; culture of safety; risk identification and reduction; and medication-related incident investigation. This certificate includes strategies for identifying opportunities for, and implementing, medication safety improvements, as well as other fundamentals for maintaining a medication safety program.

This product is an ASHP Learning Center activity developed in partnership with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP).

Fundamentals of Pati​ent Safety 2018 

American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA)

Fundamentals of Patient Safety 2018 is an interactive, online CME course covering patient safety principles, reinforced with anesthesia-specific scenarios and examples. Case studies, quizzes and exercises within the course provide ample opportunity to apply patient safety concepts to the practice of anesthesiology. This course helps fulfill the patient safety CME requirement for Part 2 of the ABA MOCA®. Each lesson offers 3 different formats: an interactive presentation, a print version, and an audio version.
