Continuing Education

In support of improving patient care, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team.

This program carries a maximum of 10 credits for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement designates this live activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

During this program, participants will be able to:

  • Examine an industry-tested process for identifying high-risk, high-cost individuals — and achieving better, more cost-efficient outcomes — through care redesign
  • Lay the groundwork for developing a cost-effective and sustainable enhanced care design within your unique environment
  • Articulate how process and outcomes measures can be used to track progress
  • Identify next steps for implementing care redesign that will improve care and lower costs for high-risk, high-cost patients

Instructions

Continuing education credits will not be awarded for non-educational activities, including (but not limited to) meals, breaks and receptions.
