Each year practical, real-world sessions and posters at the IHI Forum and Scientific Symposium provide some of the most informative and memorable moments for attendees!

Presenting a session or poster at the IHI Forum or Scientific Symposium is an excellent opportunity to highlight the work you and your organization are doing to improve health care for all.

IHI Forum and Scientific Symposium Posters

Poster displays at the IHI Forum and Scientific Symposium chronicle specific improvement projects. They are an integral part of the conference, providing an opportunity for organizations to share their improvement strategies and celebrate their successes with attendees. Posters should not advertise products or services.

The IHI Forum team is looking for posters for both the in-person (Orlando, FL, USA) and online experiences. Posters for the Scientific Symposium are online only.

Session proposals submissions for the IHI Forum 2022 are now closed. 

The IHI Forum Team is looking for interactive, innovative session proposals for both in-person (Orlando, FL, USA) and online experiences. Proposals should focus on the eight key content areas: 


    Addressing Value, Cost and Quality

  •  Workforce well-being



    Improvement Science 


    Person-Centered Care 


    Population Health 


    Workforce and Patient Safety

IHI Scientific Symposium Session Proposals Online Only

Session proposals submissions for the Scientific Symposium 2022 are now closed. 

The IHI Scientific Symposium (part of the IHI Forum) aims to attract the best work in the science of improvement in health and health care. The Symposium features a mix of keynote presentations, interactive methods sessions on new and foundational scientific approaches to improvement, and oral presentations and poster presentations featuring both applied improvement and improvement methods work. Top rated proposals will be published in BMJ Open Quality. 

The IHI Scientific Symposium team are looking for proposal submissions for oral presentations that showcase either: 
  •  Applied Improvement: applications of scientific methods to health and health care improvement   
  •  Improvement Methods: developing the methodological basis of improving health and health care
