How can I learn about open positions?
Our
open positions are listed on the IHI career site. To learn more about current job openings please visit www.ihi.applicantpro.com/jobs. If you have questions about a particular position or opportunity, please contact us at
employment@ihi.org.
How do I apply?
Apply to IHI by creating a careers login and filling out the online application. Note: This is not the same as your ihi.org login. You will be able to upload your resume and cover letter and save your information to make applying for additional roles easier in the future. If you do not see a role you are currently interested in, you can sign up for job alerts to stay in touch on upcoming opportunities.
Who should I contact if I need an accommodation?
IHI is committed to giving all interested candidates the opportunity to apply for a position. If you are in need of a reasonable accommodation to submit any of the application components, please contact us at (617) 301-4800 and ask for the Human Resources department.
What format does my resume, cover letter, and supporting documents need to be in?
We ask that you submit your materials in either Word or PDF format, whichever is more convenient for you. The application will also allow you to upload from LinkedIn, Dropbox, etc. If for some reason we are unable to process your application due to the format of your documents, we will contact you directly.
Can I submit an application for more than one position?
Yes. If you are interested in more than one of the available job opportunities you are welcome to apply for as many as you would like. You will need to apply for each position individually, but your information will be saved based on your last submissions to make the process faster.
What is the benefit of having a login on the Careers page?
Creating a login on the careers page will provide you access to your careers profile, allow you to apply for additional jobs, and make it easier for you to check your application status. You will also be able to sign up for alerts to hear about new positions as we post them. This login is not the same as your ihi.org profile.
Will I receive a response when I apply?
When you submit your application you will receive an email notification confirming the creation of your account and that your application has been received. The Human Resources team will contact you further if you have been identified as a candidate of interest for any particular position. Due to the volume of resumes we receive, please allow 1 to 3 weeks to be notified of an advance in your candidacy.
What is the process after an application is received?
Your online application and materials will be reviewed and considered against the requirements of the position. You will be contacted directly by someone on the Human Resources team within 1 to 3 weeks if you are selected to proceed in the process.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
If you have any specific questions about a position or your application, please direct them toward our employment email address, employment@ihi.org. A member of the Human Resources team will follow up with you as soon as possible.
How often do you update your listing of open jobs?
Job postings are actively managed and updated so that jobseekers are viewing the most complete, up-to-date information we can provide. If a position is no longer listed than it has been filled. You can always sign up to receive alerts for future jobs that are posted.
Would I be able to conduct a phone or a virtual interview?
Yes, phone or virtual interviews are occasionally used based on the position and circumstances.
What benefits does IHI offer?
IHI offers a rich and flexible benefit plan for permanent full-time and part-time employees.
Do you offer the opportunity to work remotely?
Some positions do offer the ability to work remotely and that will be listed in the description. All positions posted are based in our office in Boston, MA, unless otherwise noted in the job description.
Do you offer an internship or co-op program?
We work with Northeastern University as part of their cooperative education program. On average we employ 10 to 13 co-ops per semester. If you are interested in co-oping at IHI and attend Northeastern, we ask that you inquire about our opportunities through the appropriate university co-op coordinator. Occasionally we will have additional internship opportunities that will be posted along with our regular full-time and part-time positions.
Can I submit my application/resume without applying for a position?
We have only a finite number of jobs and all of our opportunities are posted so we do ask that you apply for a particular position. If our current opportunities available are not of interest to you, please sign up for job alerts so that you can stay connected to future opportunities. Also consider other opportunities for you to be involved with IHI and our mission through our
programs and
resources.
