Improving Behavioral Health Care in the ED and Upstream

Laderman M, Waghray A, Zeller S. Improving behavioral healthcare in the ED and upstream. Healthcare Executive. 2019 Nov;34(6):48-50.

Four key changes are being tested: building community partnerships to enhance coordination and communication; standardizing processes in the ED; engaging and activating patients and family members; and creating a trauma-informed culture among ED staff.
