Our nursing units have large white boards and recently to become compliant with HIPPA have gone to identifying patients with initals only. As I walk around the units I have asked several nurses if they have concerns and there seem not to be any. Has any other hospital noted a change on identifying patients on their white boards? I look at this as an accident waiting to happen. Suggestions anyone?
