Enrollment & Fees

​Due to the intensity of this program and the work on real improvement projects for the client organizations, the class size is limited. 

Applications are currently being accepted on a rolling admission and are due by    August 23, 2018. This program usually fills up fast, we therefore encourage interested participants to complete the application as soon as possible to guarantee a spot in the program.

Once we receive your application, it will be reviewed by IHI program faculty members and you'll be notified of your enrollment status. If your application is accepted, we will send you a pre-work packet to begin preparing for the initial in-person workshop.

To apply for the Improvement Advisor (IA) program, please complete the following two documents:

  • Application deadline: August 23, 2018
  • First virtual workshop: August 30, 2018
  • First in-person workshop begins: October 2, 2018

Enrollment Fee

Regular Rate: $16,200 per participant

This fee includes: 

  • Twelve days of on-site workshops (three four-day, face-to-face workshops) 

  • All program materials, tools, and literature 

  • Continental breakfasts and lunches for the twelve workshop days

  • Monthly webinars and coaching

  • An Extranet site and listserv to connect participants throughout the program and encourage active collaboration, facilitated by IHI faculty

     

Additional Meeting Details

​​Meals: Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided on all workshop days. Participants will be responsible for their own dinners.

Dress Code: Please dress business casual. You may wish to bring a sweater or jacket since the meeting rooms are cold at times.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Special Discounts
IHI is pleased to offer a limited amount of financial assistance. Special discounts are available for program registration costs ONLY and are not applicable for travel, food, or accommodation costs associated with attending the program.
 
To apply for a special discount, complete the online Scholarship and Special Discount Application. A limited number of 50% discounts are available for this program for employees of:
  • Independent, United States Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that are not affiliated with a hospital or health system
  • Critical Access Hospitals
  • Independent practices with fewer than 20 physicians
  • Hospitals with fewer than 50 beds
  • Members of America's Essential Hospitals (formerly NAPH)

Our Guarantee to You

Cancellations, Substitutions, and Refunds
If you wish to cancel your enrollment, please contact IHI at 617-301-4800 or info@ihi.org 30 days prior to the start of the program, in to receive a full refund. Unfortunately, we are unable to grant refunds for cancellations made after that time. One attendee may be substituted for another prior to the first meeting of program attendees (via phone, web, or in-person). If we do not receive notice of a cancellation at least 30 days prior to the start of the program, full payment will be required, regardless of attendance.
 

Unconditional Guarantee
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied that this program is a valuable experience, IHI will gladly refund your enrollment fee within 30 days of the program end date. Please note that due to unforeseeable circumstances, last-minute changes in program titles, speakers, or presentations may be unavoidable.
