Pugh.jpgMichael D. Pugh, MPH, President, MdP Associates, LLC, has over 30 years of CEO experience in hospitals, health care systems, managed care organizations, and consulting and health care services companies. He is a nationally known advisor and consultant to senior leaders of health care provider organizations, payer organizations, and government agencies focusing on issues of quality, performance, strategy, and governance. His areas of expertise include defining and executing strategies for improvement and organizational transformation, clinical integration, quality system planning and execution, governance processes, leadership system development, and strategic planning. Mr. Pugh is a senior faculty member for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and has served on the boards of the American Hospital Association (AHA), the AHA Health Forum, the Colorado Hospital Association, and The Joint Commission. He is a board member of Verisma Systems, Inc., for which he served as CEO during the company's start-up and early growth phases.


Stephen Swensen.jpg

Stephen Swensen, MD, MMM, FACR, is the Medical Director for Leadership and Organization Development and Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is a Senior Fellow and Chair of the Leadership Portfolio at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.  From 2005-2012 he served as the Director for Quality and Associate Dean for Value. Dr. Swensen chaired the Department of Radiology from 1998-2006. He is past President of the Fleischner Society and the Society of Thoracic Radiology. He has been Principal Investigator of three NIH grants and has authored two books and 138 peer-reviewed articles.

Isgett, RN, MSN, Senior Vice President of Corporate Quality and Safety, McLeod Health, is responsible for the corporate oversight of the Quality and Safety division, which includes Clinical, Operational and Service Effectiveness/Excellence, Epidemiology, Risk Management, Case Management, and Physician Credentialing. Ms. Isgett is also Co-Chair of the Quality Operations Committee at McLeod and a member of the McLeod Community Board of Trustees. McLeod Health has received numerous quality awards, including the 2000 Governors Quality Award for the State of South Carolina, Premier's Award for Quality in 2003, the AHA McKesson Quest for Quality Award in 2010, and a Robert Wood Johnson Pursuing Perfection grant.
