Supporting Nurses and Midwives Across the Globe to Develop Knowledge and Skills in Leading Change
The
Nursing Now global campaign, working together with the IHI Open School and others wants to make sure that all nurses and midwives across the globe, in every role at every level, are skilled and supported to develop and strengthen nursing practice, mobilise others and really make change happen.
The change skills that you will learn by completing the IHI Opens School modules offered free to all nurses and midwives complement other methods and approaches such as quality improvement, Lean methodology, programme management, and culture change.
Often, as a nurse or midwife being a change agent and challenging the status quo of the existing system can be a very lonely life, but it is clear that changes need to be made if we are to achieve Universal Health Coverage and other global health goals. Nurses and midwives are well placed in the healthcare system to make such innovative changes to improve their current working practice. When you sign up for the IHI Open School modules, you become part of a community with like-minded people (nurses, midwives and many others) from across the globe. Many participants have described it as an extraordinarily empowering experience.
