The IHI Open School community is an innovative, global network of close to 800,000 learners committed to improving health and health care. As part of the community, we invite you to work across professions and traditional health care boundaries to improve how health professionals work, interact, and deliver care.
The Open School offers the following ways to get involved, stay connected, spread your learning, and build a community of change agents at home:
For the first time, our large-scale network is mobilizing around one topic to leverage our power for impact. The Recover Hope Campaign, led by students, residents, and professionals, launched at the 2018 National Forum with the aim of improving the lives of 50,000 individuals affected by substance use disorders. Across the Open School network, change agents are leading projects across our key action areas: awareness, prevention, and treatment.
One of our goals is to reduce the stigma associated with substance use disorders so we can increase acceptance and thus improve care and save lives. Commit to using recovery-focused language and then learn how you can get involved.
The Chapter Network is an integral piece of the IHI Open School community. Boasting close to 950 Chapters in more than 90
countries at university campuses and health care organizations around the world, this network creates a forum for like-minded individuals to interact and help each other gain skills to improve care.
