We are excited that you'll be joining us for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's (IHI's) 2018 National Forum! Here are a few important reminders as you prepare for the upcoming event.
Before you arrive:
Register for Sessions: Modify your registration using your email and registration confirmation number. Click the blue “modify” button and continue through until you see the session selection page. Make sure you click “Add to my agenda” for any sessions you want to attend!
Note: In order to receive credits for the sessions you plan to attend, the sessions must be added to your registration prior to the session ending. Please ensure that your Continuing Education Type is accurate so that you receive the proper CE certificate. Read the Forum Conference Guide: Peruse session titles and presenters, review CE details, see a map of the conference space, and much more.
Download the IHI National Forum mobile app: Update your personal agenda, select sessions, view materials, network with other attendees, and more. To download the app:
- Go to either the iOS App Store or Google Play Store and search “IHI Conferences.”
- Download the “IHI Conferences” app and click “Open” when finished.
- Select “IHI National Forum 2018” by clicking “Open.”
- When the app launches, click on the hamburger icon on the top left and click “Log in for more features!”
- Enter your first and last name and hit “Next.” A verification code will be sent to the email you used to register for the IHI National Forum. (If you don’t receive an email, please check your spam folder.)
- Go back to the app and enter the verification code to access the mobile app. For help with the app, ask any IHI Blue Shirt.
Once you arrive in Orlando:
Airport shuttles: IHI has arranged discount shuttle service from
Orlando International Airport (MCO) airport to any of the National Forum hotels via Mears Transportation for $23 one-way and $37 round trip. Note that IHI will provide free shuttle service from the Marriott World Center to the MCO airport on Wednesday, December 12, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Conference location: Conference headquarters is the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center at 8701 World Center Drive. The hotel phone number is (407) 239-4200.
Pick up your badge: Head to Badge Pickup (see conference map), which opens at 7:00 AM on Sunday, December 9, to grab your name badge and a hard copy of the Conference Guide.
Forum materials and presentations: These will be made available soon. To access the available session materials and presentations, visit
- Conference shuttles: There will be free shuttles from the five Forum hotels to the Orlando World Center Marriott conference location. Shuttles run every 5–15 minutes each day (Sunday to Wednesday).

National Forum Newsletter: Each morning, check your inbox for the day's highlights and can't-miss events.
Forum Orientation: If you are new to the National Forum, attend the orientation to learn how to best navigate the program and devise a personal learning plan. Orientation will be held on Tuesday, 7:00 AM–8:00 AM, in Crystal Ballroom, Salon G.
Networking: Make meaningful connections at our
15+ networking receptions, events, huddles, and more.
Continuing Education (CE) Credits: In order to receive Continuing Education credits for the sessions you attend, you must have them selected on your agenda prior the end of the session. To obtain CE credits and a certificate, you will need to complete the end-of-event survey, which will be emailed to all participants on December 17 and will be made available at
ihi.org/CEcredits. (Please make sure the Continuing Education Type in your registration is correct to receive the proper certificate.)
IHI Blue Shirts: IHI Blue Shirts will be on hand throughout the event and are always available to help. If you need anything before you head to Florida, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Onsite, we’ll be hard to miss in case any questions come up!
