​IJointlyAccreditedProvider.PNGn support of improving patient care, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

We are designing the 2018 IHI Change Conference to carry a maximum of 10.25 credits for general attendance, physicians, and nurses.
The Institute for Healthcare Improvement designates this enduring material for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  1. Develop strategies to engage and mobilize people, particularly those on the front line
  2. Recognize our role as leaders in changing the current state and changing ourselves if we expect others to change
  3. Focus on fixing the system that creates today’s challenges
  4. Explain why open, honest, and transparent conversations are so important to the best outcomes.


In order to be eligible for a continuing education certificate, attendees must complete the online evaluation within 30 days of the continuing education activity. After this period, you will be unable to receive a certificate.

Continuing education credits will not be awarded for non-educational activities, including (but not limited to) meals, breaks, and receptions.
