With a growing Medicaid population, St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon, began using the Triple Aim framework to develop strategies to both identify and then better meet the needs of this often high-risk, high-cost patient population. As part of its Strategic Partnership with IHI, the system is pursuing the Triple Aim as a core focus of its work.
