IHI Announces that Hospitals in 100,000 Lives Campaign Have Saved an Estimated 122,300 Lives
The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) announced today that U.S. hospitals taking part in an unprecedented 18-month effort to prevent 100,000 unnecessary deaths by dramatically improving patient care have exceeded that goal.

IHI announced that 14 hospitals enrolled in its 100,000 Lives Campaign have had no cases of ventilator-associated pneumonia for one year or more.
