Definition

The proportion of patients receiving a prophylactic antibiotic who have antibiotic administration time and time of surgical incision documented.

Formula: The number of patients with both times documented divided by the number of surgical cases receiving prophylactic antibiotics.


Goal

Achieve 100 percent of patients receiving prophylactic antibiotics with both times documented within 13 months.

Create a system to capture data prospectively on 100 percent of patients.
