Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital
Downers Grove,
Illinois,
USA
This survey can be used to better understand physician experiences with and attitudes about communicating/collaborating with nurses and highlight areas that present the greatest opportunity for improvement.
Background
From the literature we know the physician-nurse partnership improves multiple factors in care and outcomes. We detected problems with this partnership at our hospital. This survey was adapted to measure how interventions that cultivate physician-nurse relationships effect perceptions of communication, collaboration and critical thinking between physicians and nurses.
