Communication/Collaboration Survey: Nurse Attitudes about Communication and Collaboration with Physicians

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital
Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

This survey can be utilized to better understand nurse experiences with and attitudes about communicating/collaborating with physicians and highlight areas that present the greatest opportunity for improvement.

Background

From the literature we know the physician-nurse partnership improves multiple factors in care and outcomes. We detected problems with this partnership at our hospital. This survey was adapted to measure how interventions that cultivate physician-nurse relationships effect perceptions of communication, collaboration and critical thinking between physicians and nurses.
