Using flowsheets with anticoagulant medications allows clinical staff to monitor doses and laboratory values in one location, so that patient response can be monitored more easily. This can decrease the risk of adverse drug events. This is an example of a flowsheet for warfarin used at Fairview Southdale Hospital.
