This document describes the design framework for the Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) project. The first page depicts the theoretical framework: idealized design of care at the bedside is organized into four design themes; the Institute of Medicine aims, measures, and Ten Simple Rules are then mapped to each of these four themes. The Microsystem Level depicts the topic areas in which prototype teams are currently testing new designs and process changes in the four design themes.
