This measurement strategy is used in the Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) initiative. The measures help to assess the progress that participating TCAB hospitals are making toward achieving the TCAB design targets. Measures are reported monthly, quarterly, or every six months. In addition to the unit measures, there are system quality measures. Hospital pilot sites are also asked to select a set of clinical measures for their top diagnosis.
