World Health Organization Global HIV/AIDS and STD Surveillance
The World Health Organization, in conjunction with UNAIDS, created a working group in 1996 to strengthen global structures and networks for improved monitoring and surveillance of HIV/AIDS and STDs. The working group collaborates closely with national AIDS programs and a number of national and international institutions and experts. Their goal is to make the best information available to improve decision making about HIV/AIDS at national, regional, and global levels.
