Time from ICU to Inpatient Bed (median)

Definition
The median time from when the patient is deemed ready for transfer from the intensive care unit (ICU) to when the patient is physically placed in an inpatient bed.
Goal
Decrease the median time from when the patient is deemed ready for transfer from the ICU to when the patient is physically placed in an inpatient bed to four hours or less.
Data Collection Plan
Collect data weekly for 25 patients, using one of the following sampling plans:
Sample five patients per day for five days of the week. Patients must be consecutive and at least one day must be a weekend day.
OR
Sample 25 consecutive patients regardless of any specific day, except that the sampling must include some weekend admissions.
If there are less than 25 admissions in a week, include the total admissions for the week in the sample.
