Percentage of Patients with Fasting LDL Less Than 130 in the Last 12 Months


Definition

The number of diabetic patients in the registry who have had a fasting LDL less than 130 in the last 12 months divided by the total number of diabetic patients in the registry. Multiply by 100 to get the percentage.


Goal

Greater than 70 percent of patients with a fasting LDL less than 130 in the last 12 months.


Data Collection Plan

On the last working day of the month, search the registry for all patients with a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus who had a fasting LDL less than 130 in the last 12 months. Also count the total number of patients with a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus who had a fasting LDL.
