Percentage of Patients Who Report Using Aspirin Daily


Definition

The number of diabetic patients in the registry who report using aspirin daily, divided by the total number of diabetic patients in the registry. Multiply by 100 to get the percentage.


Goal

Greater than 80 percent of patients reporting daily aspirin use.


Data Collection Plan

On the last workday of each month, search the registry for all patients with a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus who use aspirin daily. Also, count the total number of patients with a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus.
