8:00 AM - 3:00 PM   Program

How Do the Best Boards Manage Conversations — With Each Other and With Physicians?
Participants will learn the skills and tools for having meaningful conversations with other board members, and with physicians who are members of the board and who come to the board as part of the Medical Executive Committee.

The Power of Patient and Family Engagement
Participants will understand how they can involve patients and families to create the will for change.

Action Planning
Participants will build an action plan for their own boards, designed to improve the activation and agility to oversee quality and safety.

 Continued Support
After the program, participants are welcome to participate in conference calls with fellow participants and faculty. The calls will be strategically scheduled three, four, and five months after the program, allowing time for participants to gain experience with the tools and to participate in a board meeting at their organization.

The conference calls are a benefit for program participants, but are not mandatory. They provide an excellent opportunity to share experiences and to get additional support from faculty.
