1. What particular training do you think is missing from your formal curriculum?  This could be improvement, safety, patient-centered care, teamwork and communication, or any other topic that seems significant.
2. What do you think are the consequences of not receiving that training?
3. Montana Schultz suggests that students request more improvement training when filling out course evaluations.  Do you think this would be an effective way to change your curriculum?  What are some other avenues that seem promising to you?
4. What programs or departments in your university or workplace might offer some of the training you’re looking for?  What about other campuses or online resources?
5. What would be a natural “home” for this training at your school?  Who are the faculty members who might be interested in this topic?
6. How might you prepare to approach a faculty member with a request for additional training?  What specifically would you ask for?
