  Continuing Education

Participants in the 21st Annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care satellite broadcast will learn how to:

  • Recognize habits that support good care and apply the basic principles for improving them.
  • Define ways to reduce suffering and improve health.
  • Develop an understanding of how to transform an organization.
  • Identify elements for creating a culture of change that will lead to continuous improvement.

 

In order to be eligible for a continuing education certificate, attendees must complete the online evaluation within 30 days of the continuing education activity. After this period, you will be unable to receive a certificate. For details, please review these instructions for obtaining your continuing education credits. Continuing education credits will not be awarded for non-educational activities, including (but not limited to) meals, breaks and receptions.

 


This Institute for Healthcare Improvement activity carries the following types of continuing education credits:

 Physician Credits
 Nursing Credits

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  The Institute for Healthcare Improvement takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity.

The number of credit hours IHI designates for this continuing medical education activity will be available at www.IHI.org under the continuing education tab for this event 30 days prior to the event start date.  Each physician should claim only those hours of credit he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

This activity has been submitted to the Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses, Inc., for approval to award contact hours.

 

Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses, Inc., is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s COA.

 Continuing Education for Pharmacists

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
