What equipment will I need to downlink the broadcast?
In North America, you will need to have satellite equipment which receives analog KU-Band or analogue C-Band signals. In Europe and Central America, you will need to have satellite equipment which receives KU-Band signals.
How will I know if the broadcast will work?
Your organization’s Information Technology Department or Distance Learning Coordinator should be able to tell you if you have the equipment necessary. We will put up a test signal for approximately 30 minutes, about a week before the broadcast. We will send your organization’s key contact test information as soon as it is available.

What does the broadcast include?
The broadcast includes the two full days of the General Conference — all keynote and mini keynote sessions.
When is the broadcast?
In North America, the two full days of the General Conference will be broadcast on December 11 and 12, 2007. The broadcast will begin each day at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.

What satellite will you be using?
We do not yet know what satellite we will be using for the broadcast. When we have that information, we will send it to the person your organization has identified as the key contact for the broadcast. In fairness to registered organizations, we do not provide satellite and coordinate information until participation is confirmed.
What are the coordinates?

Once you have registered, coordinates will be sent to your organization’s key contact, along with other information (web link to materials, instructions for obtaining continuing education credits, etc.).
Can I get the broadcast via cable/closed circuit TV?
No, you must have satellite equipment that receives analogue KU Band or analogue C-Band signals. If you are not sure if your organization has this capability, check with your Information Technology Department or Distance Education Coordinator.
Will materials be made available?
Yes, we will post all of the available materials to the web. (Some speakers may not have handouts for their sessions.) We will send the materials link to the key contact for each organization before the broadcast. The key contact is responsible for arranging for duplication of these materials as they see fit.
Can we have people from outside of our organization attend the broadcast?
We put no restrictions on inviting people from your area to attend the broadcast, however, we require that you charge no fee for participation.
What are the next steps?
Just complete the online enrollment form and we will follow up with the key contact regarding coordinates, materials, test signal information, and all other information as it becomes available.
Can we share the cost of the broadcast with another organization?
We have tried to price the broadcast so that organizations can benefit from having many people participate for a fraction of the cost involved with travel to the event, while still covering the cost of uplink. In an effort to make it fair for all and to make the broadcast feasible for future years, we ask that organizations do not share the broadcast fee.
The live broadcast starts/ends very early/late in my time zone. What are my options?
Organizations for whom the start and/or end times are not convenient may submit a signed agreement to gain permission to record the broadcast and show later in the day. Due to our agreements with presenters, all recordings must be destroyed within two weeks of the live broadcast. Click here to download the agreement document.

Can we buy videoptapes/DVDs of all of these sessions?
We try to make keynote sessions available for sale on videotape and DVD after the Forum, depending on our individual agreements with the speakers. Mini keynote sessions will not be available for sale.
