The Institute for Healthcare Improvement is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
To receive a certificate of credit:
Step 1: If you have not yet signed up on the IHI website, please do so at http://www.ihi.org/ihi/users/register.aspx.
Step 2: Go to the Event Certificate Center section of the IHI site at http://www.ihi.org/certificatecenter.
Step 3: Enter the code for this event provided in the conference guide and click the Confirm Event button.
Step 4: Click “Yes” to confirm that this is the correct event.
Step 5: This screen shows all events that you can currently confirm attendance for.
1. Choose the session you attended for each event from the drop-down list or leave the option as “I did not attend this event” if you are not seeking credits for a particular event. (This screen will not allow you to confirm events that have not yet taken place. You will be able to confirm those events as they take place. A list of future events is displayed at the bottom of the page.)
2. Select the type of credits you are seeking by choosing it from the “Select Profession” dropdown list.
3. Click on the “I attended the 6th Office Practice Summit” button.
Step 6: Click on the take survey link to take the survey for each of the events you wish to confirm. (If you leave before you finish taking all the surveys, you will be able to take them the next time you come to the Certificate Center.)
Step 7: Once you have completed all of the surveys, you will be brought to a screen where you can print your continuing education certificate by clicking on the Generate Certificate icon at the top of the page.
Tips: If you confirm attendance for some events and then return to the site to confirm additional events at a later date, go to:
1. http://www.ihi.org/certificatecenter
2. Click on the 6th Annual International Summit on Redesigning the Clinical Office Practice link under the Event Certificates heading.
3. Click on the Select Additional Events to confirm link at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions above to confirm attendance.
