We are pleased to announce the 20th National Forum keynote presentations:

  • Donald M. Berwick, MD, MPP, President and CEO, Institute for Healthcare Improvement
  • Susan Dentzer, Editor-in-Chief, Health Affairs, and On-Air Health Policy Analyst, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS
  • Hippocrates Wept: An Anthology of Pathology, a multi-media and live production by famed playwright Robert Brustein and several well-known actors

IHI would like to thank the Co-Chairs for their extraordinary effort and commitment in developing the program for the 20th Annual National Forum.


 

Howard Hiatt, MD, Associate Chief of the Division, former Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital, former Dean of the Harvard School of Public Health and a distinguished expert in public health, international health and medicine. He is now Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Board of Directors of Partners In Health.

 

 

 

 

 

Brent C. James, MD, MStat, Vice President, Medical Research and Continuing Medical Education at Intermountain Health Care. He is also the Executive Director of Institute for Health Care Delivery Research, also at Intermountain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joanne Lynn, MD, Lead author of the 2007 Annals of Internal Medicine publication concerning ethics of quality improvement. She is the leader of numerous collaboratives in quality improvement concerning serious chronic illnesses and the end of life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vinod K. Sahney, PhD, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Corporate Strategy, Planning, and Business Development at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. He is also a founding member of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and a current board member.
