INTERVENTION MATERIALS
We encourage Campaign participants to pursue any or all of 12 interventions -- the six interventions that were part of the 100,000 Lives Campaign, plus six interventions introduced in December 2006.
For each intervention there are many resources available.
Getting Started Kit:

We will collect “lives saved” data through direct submission of acute care inpatient mortality data from participating hospitals. We plan to collect data on “harm avoided” by conducting retrospective chart review in a representative sample of participating facilities.
The information that immediately follows will give useful insight on measurement strategy in the 5 Million Lives Campaign, which will be augmented in upcoming calls.
The Campaign will continue to collect and track Acute Care Inpatient Mortality Rate for hospitals enrolled in the 5 Million Lives Campaign. Intervention level measurement is recommended, but not required. Measurement information forms for each intervention are available in the How-to Guide documents in the Getting Started Kits and listed individually below.
